Radiant Shipyard Ltd (RSL), nestled in Rupganj, Narayanganj, achieved a momentous feat on January 14, 2014, as it unveiled a significant achievement in shipbuilding history. The shipyard successfully launched a 1600 DWT Coastal Oil Tanker, OTCML RAKA-1, using the modern and environmentally-conscious inflatable Air Bag system. This milestone was celebrated with great enthusiasm, embodying RSL’s commitment to innovation, safety, and sustainability.
The launch event was a vibrant occasion, graced by the presence of Cdr A K M Alauddin (Retd), Managing Director of RSL, who hosted the ceremony. The event’s Chief Guest was none other than Mr. Alauddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Chairman and owner of Cargo Maritime Ltd, highlighting the unity and shared vision between industry leaders.
